Whiskey Cake
can be made ashore and brought aboard in air tight
container

1/2 cup (80g) unsalted or lightly salted butter
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups (450g) flour
1/2 cup (12 dl) of whiskey
12 oz. (350g) currents or raisins
8 oz. (225g) chopped walnuts

Soak raisins or currents in whiskey overnight.

Mix sugar and butter; add eggs and beat well. Add
fruit and whiskey, flour, baking powder, and nuts.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350
degrees (175 degrees celsius) for 1 ¼ to 1 3/4
hours (check by sticking toothpick into cake and
removing when it is no longer wet).

Freshen with 1-2 shots of whiskey just before
serving.
