Shrimp Scampi
2 (6 oz / 200 g) cans of shrimp, drained 4 cloves garlic, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 1/3 cup olive oil 1/3 cup butter 1/4 cup white wine (dry) 2 Tbs lemon juice 1 tsp dried parsley 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Cook pasta or rice as a side dish.
1. Heat frying pain to medium high. Add oil and butter. 3. Add garlic and onion and fry until transluscent. 4. Reduce heat to medium low. 5. Add shrimp, lemon juice, wine and parsley. 6. Stir and cook for 5 minutes. Spoon shrimp and liquid onto pasta or rice and serve.
