Quick Chili and Beans
2 (16 oz / 400 g) can prepared chili and beans
or
1 pound of beef
1 can red kidney beans
plus
1 can tomato sauce or crushed tomatos
2 Tbs olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2-4 cloves garlic, diced
2 Tbs chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
2 Tbs jalepenos, chopped
6-10 shakes Tabasco or similar hot sauce
1. Saute onion and garlic in the olive oil in a soup pan until
transluscent.
2. Add beef and cook until browned then add beans OR add
the prepared chili and beans
3. Add chili powder, and hot sauce. Reduce to medium low
heat and cook 30-45 minutes until thick.
4. Mix in jalapeno pieces and serve in bowls.
