Dried (Chipped) Beef on Toast
6 oz / 200 g dried (chipped) beef. 1/2 cup butter 1 medium onion, chopped 1 can (6 oz / 200 g) sliced mushrooms 1/4 cup of flour 2 cups milk 2 tsp dried parsley black pepper bread for toast
1. Heat frying pain to medium high. Add butter and onion and saute until onion is transparent. 2. Cut the dried beef into thin strips. 3. Add beef and flour to the flying pan. Stir. 4. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the milk. Continue stirring to create a smooth thick gravy. 5. Add mushrooms, parsley, and pepper. 6. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Spoon onto toast and serve. |
