Candied Sweet Potatoes or Yams

4-6 sweet potatoes or yams, peeled and cut in 1-2 inch chunks
4 cups water
3 Tbs butter
1/2 brown sugar
1/4 cup rum

1. Bring water to boil in sauce pan and add sweet potatoes or
yams.
2. When a fork easily enters and exits potato or yam chunks,
drain water.
3. Add butter and sugar. Mix to coat the pieces of sweet potatoes
or yams.
4. Sprinkle rum over the potatoes or yams.
5. Cook 5-10 minutes and serve.
