Bread Pudding
6-8 slices stale, dry bread
4 Tbs butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup raisins
4 eggs
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbs cinnamon powder
1. Peheat oven to medium high (350 degrees; 175
degrees C)
2. Break or cut bread into 1 inch pieces and put in 8
inch baking pan or loaf pan. Drizzle melted
butter/margarine over the bread. Add raisins.
3. Combine eggs, milk sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon
in a mixing bowl. Beat well and pour over bread in
the pan.
4. Lightly push bread down in the liquid until bread is
covered. Add a little more milk if necessary to
ensure bread is covered.
5. Bake for 45 minutes or until top strings back when
touched with a finger.
